Parents

It's strange. How parents go from "sex is bad" to "I want grand babies." Is it because they want another child, but can't birth it? Or is because they're getting older, and they want to show you how much of a better parent they are now: that they've learned. Because while apologizing for the past mistakes, suggests change. Being able to show you for themselves is something entirely different isn't ? Is that why grandparents tend to spoil their grandchildren? Treat them in ways you never once were treated. Or is it because they want to share in the parenting role, and act like the grandparent they never had? To try and break the link in the chain. To give you something they never had and wished they did.

It’s strange no? The ironies of life. And you have to wonder what part will you play?
