Something that has been on my mind frequently of late is how short our time is. I was playing pool when this realization finally sank in. I saw someone that reminded me of someone I use to know at uni and also were comrades in arms during our time in the service industry, and it got me thinking. Thinking about time, places, and friends, and how you never really know when the last time is the last time.

I don’t highlight this to be depressing. It’s more of a future reminder to myself to really appreciate and enjoy the moments you have with the community you are with. You will know when it’s real. It seems like that’s the ongoing theme of these lessons: learn to truly let go, and learn to appreciate and value what is being experienced without thought to the reality that it will end at some point.
